"There is no them There is only us." A great and timely quote and appreciate you sharing that with us especially now so close to the US election. Everything is political these days!

There's nothing as stressful as knowing that at any moment, something you rely on could go on the fritz.

This doesn't seem that unusual to me, because we live in a very rural part of Canada. There is no they coming to rescue us either!

We live on an acreage with a pump down a well. If the water quits, I'm the one who fixes it. It usually does that when it's -30 C outside.

We haul our own trash to the disposal site, miles away. We plow our own snow to get off property.

That's why we are planning to move back to civilization, to take advantage of "them" and al of their help.

Exactly Tim! And when you own a hotel and people are expecting no issues, having no water at times was soooo stressful! I hope the 'they' back in civilization do help, because as we know, sometimes, it is only 'us'! Good luck!

I hope you had a good flashlight to find those leaks on those dark nights :)

It is a slippery slope, or maybe a high wire is more accurate, for your water issues. The crushed pipe — what chaos. That you both managed to maintain your sanity is, actually, insane!

Many challenges with various chaos! It was learning as we went as you probably know moving, living and having a business in a foreign country! Sometimes, I don't know how we (mostly me!) kept sanity.

Hahaha this was great. Especially the use of "there is only us."

I have an entire draft written about random ways to bathe in Jamaica due to no water, dry water tanks, and water trucks that just never come on the day they're supposed to 😁

The struggle was real. I stand in solidarity with you!

Thanks Kristi! As you know in the tropical countries, sometimes the water situations can be volatile! There is only us!!
