Man, I'm tired just reading your post, Marlo! Good grief. The cement mixer-truck remedy took the cake. Very inventive. Instead of high hopes, I'd say High Five!!!!
LOL okay, I don't know what to say first here! I guess I need to express my utmost respect for residents of developing countries who are WILLING to do this type of manual labor! Can you imagine a crew of Americans or Canadians? They'd be like, "F**K this...I'm done!"
Second, can I just say how impressed I am that you've saved all of this footage? Did you know you'd be writing about this one day? I guess I shouldn't be so surprised, I have 15 years worth of travel footage still saved.
For sure! That’s how construction is there I guess so it didn’t seem strange to anyone (but maybe me!) And, probably like you, thousands and thousands of pictures! It was so unbelievable at times I just HAD to take a picture whether it was something like construction, a plant, flower or interesting bug! My camera roll is filled! Thanks as always Kristi for reading!
HA! Bugs. Yes, that too. You and I could probably create very comprehensive coffee table books of random shit nobody needed to see from our destinations.
So now that song will be stuck in my head all day - great analogy though! Was it challenging getting the cement truck out of the hole when you were finished with it?
That song was a great comparison to the trials and obstacles you faced during this phase of construction. I still can’t believe you came through this with all your marbles. Unbelievable and truly amazing 🥲
I almost lost hope after seeing that big pit that needed to be filled with concrete. The ingenuity of Cordero and his crew was amazing. We can achieve great things when we work together!

Thanks Jeanine! We all probably all did high fives after that remedy worked!

Let's do it! 😂

Sorry-it is an ear worm! Good question-from what I remember, the backhoe maybe pushed or pulled the (now empty) cement truck out of the hole.

Working together with resourcefulness and High Hopes! 😂 We got it done!
